The last two weeks or so of summer I went to this camp in the city called writopia. It's an awesome place! Everything is perfect there; the kids, the teachers, the setup in general and especially counsellors! You get your own google docs account and can share work with your friends! It is a writing camp. Period. Any kind of writing is allowed ranging from musicals to memoirs. And, I an emphasis on musicals or plays because, finished pieces, get to be performed! The reason I am writing this, is mainly because of the fact that today, I am about to perform my musical today called, the chicken vs turkey thanksgiving war. It is basically a funny theory of why we eat turkeys for thanksgiving. Awesome camp! Definitely Recommended!

Oh and I forgot. You get your own computer! But don't listen to me. Sign up at writopia website now!

Vacation
Just got back from vacation.
Was in the adirondack mountains for a week. We drove six hours to get there. It was hard to believe that we were still in New York state! The first five nights we spent in the Dartbrook lodge. It was located in keene valley, a small but warm neighborhood. The place is really cool. We stayed in a wood cabin with almost all the furniture made out of wood. The european soccer championships were going on at the time we were in dartbrook. We had a blast watching the games on tv! My family mainly did hikes while we were there. The owls head hike was a mile and a half hike with good views and some hard rock climbing. It was challenging, but I liked it immediately. Next we drove about fifteen miles out of keene to a town called Lake Placid. Lake Placid is considered the main town in the adirondacks. Easy to see why; the winter olympics happened two times in Lake Placid. One of the games included the legendary US hockey victory over the Russian hockey power house. It is considered the greatest US sports victory of all time. Of course, any popular town has it's share of tourist attractions. The tourists were streaming in and out where ever you go. Luckily, we found store where they sold hiking boots. Naturally, I got a pair. We crashed at the Generations Restaurant for lunch before heading to this place called whiteface castle. That was once a home for a group of famous scientists who studied the weather and the climate. They even built a little observatory deck on a cliff 1/5 of a mile away from the whiteface castle(which was their home.) Today, there is a elevator that goes up to the observatory deck which by the way has great views. Then we hiked back down to the castle.
The next couple of days, we explored lake placid and ate out every night. Towards the end of our stay in keene, our last stop was lake saranac. It is a very famous place; mostly due to the people who stayed their. Doctors around the 1900's said that lake saranac is a good place to stay if you have lung disease, tuberculosis and more. They claimed that lake saranac's air was cleaner and healthier. And believe it or not, some pretty famous people ended up in lake saranac because of this. Take Bela Bartok for example. He was a famous piano artist who was diagnosed with tuberculosis. He spent his last two years at lake saranac. We actually saw the outside of his house!
Soon we were headed to the lake George area for our last two nights to a place called the lamplight inn. If you ask me, the place should be called old peoples club or something but at least I got to try out my awesome new slingshot!

Another Poem:
The Bird
So much depends upon a bird
who adds happiness and joy as he
glides through the seas of the sky
and makes a path of color and calmness as he
gracefully passes by.
Oh how I wish I was the bird
the happy, graceful and untouchable
magnificent and beautiful
a symbol of peace
and many other wonderful things
which I can not mention
The Bird.
